I have the 73 inch Mits wd-73733, Sony STR-DG910 receiver, Motorola comcast cable box, with Harmon Kardon 5.1 home theatre speakers.
I am not sure if I did this right but I wired the speakers as per instructions which I believe are correct. I then connected the Sony reciever HDMI out to the TV's HDMI. The Comcast box to the Sony receiver via HDMI. When I turn on the TV the picture is good but kind of grainy and definately should look better. I can only get sound to the front speakers and subwoofer. When I run the Sony receiver test all the speakers work fine but cant get them to all work with the TV going or FM. I thought HDMI would simply link them all…do I need more cables to link these? Also could it be my comcast box? It is new but I dont think it has built in HDTV….any suggestions or help from knowledgeable people is appreciated. Thanks!

Under the settings in the Comcast box, there should be another menu to access the audio portion of your Comcast box. Set the audio to use the HDMI cable. That should take care of your audio problem.
If your Comcast box is not HD, than what you are seeing is the limits of regular television. Which broadcasts at 480, your television is capable of up to 1080 which is why the picture looks grainy, you need an HD feed to see HD television.

If you have an HD box than be aware that your your HD channels will be separate than from what you are used to, something like channel 4 will be 504 or something like that.
