Is this possible to do by connecting your 360 to the TV using the Red, White, and Yellow cords? Then connecting the subwoofer to the TV also using the Red, White, and Yellow cords. I have 2 Red, white, and yellow connections on my TV. Will this work? Or will I need to find a way to connect the XBOX directly to the subwoofer? Because I’m not sure that the TV connected to the Subwoofer will give the correct output to get the sound….here is a link to the subwoofer and the system….http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEBTOX:IT&item=150231180658&_trksid=p3984.cTODAY.m238.lVI

Your TV is unlikely to OUTPUT yellow video signals, it’s usual for the TV to accept INPUT yellow video signals from a Audio Visual amplifier system.

That sound system on eBay is not an AV amp. It’s just an audio amp. You have to feed the red and white (sound) signals from your Xbox 360 AV lead to it and feed the yellow (video) lead from the Xbox 360 AV lead to your TV.

That will let the audio amp (as shown on your eBay link) to process the sound while the TV displays the picture.

I have a bash 300w plate amplifier and am awaiting on my polk psw1000 subwoofer (just the woofer) and am going to build my self a little project. Anyways, I am coming up with a logo and everything and at the top of the logo i’m creating I want to put a blue led (just a single little light) to show that the subwoofer is on. Now i just got my amplifier today and realized that there is a light on the back of the amp. Is it possible to just tap into the wiring for that light and feed another light to the front of the woofer where I want it? If not what are some suggestions?

It may be possible to do that but you will also be causing an extra load to appear on the light circuit, this could lead to both lights burning out before there time is due another idea may be to take out the light and move it to the front of the box….

So, I’m looking at building a subwoofer, and I have spent a lot of time doing research and figuring things out, but I can’t really get a good idea of EQ Level does. For example, the Amp Module that I want to get is this 1000 rms watt module http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=300-809 and it has a EQ Level going from -14.5 db to +6 db. I think that it is a volume control, but I want to make sure I know everything before I buy it. So is it a volume control, and if it is, How much of a volume variation will I see if in these different levels if I have a 1000 rms watt driver? Thanks!

A Parametric EQ is a variable frequency equalizer. That unit varies the amount of EQ available by the amount specified. It is not a volume control. You adjust the frequency you want EQ to occur, and then by how much (that is what the -14.5 to +6 is for). At that frequency, you can cut it down or boost it, relative to the "flat" output of the amp. That is useful in many different ways, particularly because you can cut "peaky" frequencies, or boost weaker ones. One caveat - if you boost too low a frequency for the speaker to handle, you can overpower the speaker. The manufacturer was wise to engineer more cut than boost, because it is easy to overpower drivers at low frequencies, especially if you go below the system resonance frequency, where the driver is basically unloaded.
