I simply want to know how to connect the power mixer (Yamaha EMX5000) with two EV stage 300’s to an 18" Behringer passive subwoofer. I also have a Behringer t-amp crossover but dont know how to put it together. Would appreciate your help.

Did a quick look see at the manual, better you look at it instead of trying to explain online.

I have a Sony HT-DDW795 home theater system and my subs recently stopped working. I wanted to replace them with a equal or better subwoofer but mostly everything i see is powered. My reciever only has the red black wire input for the subs - would i be able to hook up a powered subwoofer to it and if so how? Thank you for you help in advance!
I dont have an RCA Plug either… That was the first thing i checked for :\

I looked up your Sony HT-DDW795 home theater system specifications and see that you do indeed have a passive subwoofer in this system. RCA-to-speakerwire adaptations will not change the fact that the only kind of subwoofer output you have is speaker-level output (not line-level) and that it will overdrive powered subwoofers. Don’t do it. It may work at very low volume levels (with way too much bass!). But otherwise, it will likely either burn out the sub’s amp (from overdriving the input) and/or the sub’s speaker (from trying to reproduce the nearly-squarewave shape of clipped audio).

You should replace your passive subwoofer with another one! They DO exist (see links below).
They start at about $80 new (with 6-1/2" driver) — see the 1st link below. I couldn’t find one with an 8" driver (which is what your system had), but you could try eBay for an exact replacement, which you actually might pick up really cheap. If you’d like to move up, the 2nd link below is to a passive subwoofer with a 15"(!) driver for about $140.
